　8thアルバム。Quincy Jonesとは前作『Bad』を最後に、本作では新たなパートナーとしてニュージャックスウィングで名を上げたTeddy Rileyを起用。かなり前作とサウンドが変わります。前半はずっと同じビートで飽きがくるのが残念かな。後半は期待通りだけど。本作から「03. In the Closet」「05. Remember the Time」「08. Black or White」「11. Will You Be There」がヒットしましたが、特に「08. Black or White」のミュージックビデオが当時僕は子供でしたがよく覚えています。「07. Heal the World」「14. Dangerous」も有名な曲かな。このアルバムリリース後プライベートでのトラブルでキャリアがおかしくなってしまったのはとても残念。僕のMichaelのイメージはこの頃のビジュアル。ここで顔のいじりは止めておいて欲しかった。
